Canadian Conductor Maria Fuller is one of Canada’s captivating musical personalities. Described as a polymath, Maria performs internationally as a conductor, trumpeter, and pianist and is also an acclaimed vocal coach, award-winning composer and sought after arranger. She conducts the symphonic, ballet and operatic repertoire, is a thoughtful curator of family and educational programs, and is an arranger and composer of fresh cinematic music containing a “new baroque” twist. In all that she does, Maria “radiates energy” (Ruch Muzyczny) and is gaining a reputation for her “vivid imagination, energetic personality” (Kalejdoskop) “precise gesture, and sensitivity to detail” from the podium (Ruch Muzyczny). In 2026, Maria was nominated for the Heinz Unger Conducting Award, a Betty Mitchell award for Outstanding Musical Direction, and a YYC Music Award for “Classical Recording of the Year” for her oratorio “The Christmas Messiah.”

After being a finalist at the 11th Grzegorz Fitelberg International Conducting Competition, Poland in 2023, Maria’s career has taken her to the European stage. As a conductor of opera, she has worked at the Teatr Wielki w Łodzi, Poland, the infamous Narodní Divadlo, Prague, and as a symphonic conductor with the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Belgium as their Assistant Conductor. This summer, Maria is on faculty at the Trentino Music Festival, Italy as head coach, and conductor.
