VOLUNTEER WITH THE RMSO

EXPLORE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

• Publicity - Distribute concert posters in your area 3-4 weeks prior to concerts

• Box Office - sells walk-up tickets and distributes will-call tickets

• VIP Room - Host/Hostess, Bartenders, etc.

• Gift Kiosk/Book Table - Raises funds for the orchestra through the sale of a variety of items and books.

• Staff Assistance - Helps the RMSO staff with mailings and other administrative duties.

• Technical - lights/sound/live-streaming/recording

• Other - if you have other talents, we’d love to put them to use!

REQUIREMENTS OF VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERSHIP

• An individual shall become a Voting Member of the Society if they:

  • Provide RMSO membership dues of $25 in the twelve (12) months preceding the Annual General Meeting; or an in-kind donation equivalent of $500 in the twelve (12) months preceding the Annual General Meeting; and,

  • Are (or have been) a Director on the Board or one of its Committees within the previous 36 months; or, they have volunteered a minimum of 20 hours for RMSO in the twelve (12) months preceding the Annual General Meeting

• Members cannot be employees of the Society, except for Core Musicians (as defined in the Musician’s Policy D2, as approved from time-to-time) who are subject to the prior criteria.

• Membership is granted upon acceptance by the RMSO and is subject to renewal in accordance with the terms outlined in this policy.
