Rising Stars Shine at Carmina Burana Live at Vivo

Three outstanding young pianists from the from the Mount Royal Conservatory and the University of Calgary — Kathy Pham, Derek Lee, and Hannah Hodjati — gave beautiful performances on pianos donated by Steinway Piano Gallery at Carmina Burana Live at Vivo on November 1. Their musicianship, poise, and artistry added a special elegance to an already unforgettable evening with the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra.

They performed under the baton of Rolf Bertsch, a distinguished Canadian conductor, pianist, and educator known for his versatility, musical excellence, and deep commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists .

This appearance was part of the RMSO Emerging Artist Program, which provides meaningful performance opportunities for emerging talent and strengthens our commitment to supporting young musicians in our community.
