The Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra (RMSO) is delighted to announce Stephania Luciuk as the 2026 recipient of the Kim Raffin Award for Artistic Leadership, presented during the orchestra’s October 17–18 Heroes & Heroines concerts.
A founding member and Assistant Principal Second Violin, Stephania has been an extraordinary contributor to the RMSO, both on and off the stage. Recognized by her fellow musicians for her sensitive and passionate artistry, she has also devoted countless volunteer hours to supporting her colleagues, strengthening the orchestra, and helping guide the organization through periods of significant change.
Her generosity, diplomacy, humility, and unwavering commitment exemplify the spirit of this award.
Established and generously funded by Kim Raffin, RMSO Founder and Former Board Chair, the annual award celebrates musicians who demonstrate exceptional artistic leadership, dedication, and lasting service to the orchestra.
Now in its second year, the Kim Raffin Award for Artistic Leadership was first presented in 2025 to Radina Gubeva, recognized for her exceptional musicianship, leadership, and dedication to the RMSO. Stephania joins Radina in establishing a proud tradition of celebrating musicians whose contributions extend far beyond the concert stage.
The RMSO also congratulates this year's outstanding nominees: Breanne Jamieson (Principal Horn), Ross Lemon (Principal Bass), and Margot Scullen (Viola).
Congratulations, Stephania, and thank you for the remarkable difference you continue to make to the RMSO!
